"Successful integration of a diverse workforce will help drive organizaton productivity, a key factor that is not influenced by a changing dollar value, price of electricity, or higher commodity prices, says Trudy Parsons 2010 Co-Chair of the Canadian Institute of Management's National Conference." This years conference is being held in Hamilton from June 10-12 and will bring business leaders and management together unde the theme, "People. Productivity. Prosperity.... Succeeding with a Diverse Workforce.

As Canada, like much of the developed world, continues to emerge from the "great recession", the focus will revert back to addressing an aging population, shrinking youth in the labour market, and increased diversity across the demographic makeup of our labour force.

This years' conference will shed light on best practices and on-the-ground solutions that can be implemeneted in the workplace to support all members of the workforce. "We need to ensure that all staff are engaged, productive, and contributing in this competitive global economy", says Don Spaetzel, President of the Hamilton Branch.

The Canadian Institute of Management is Canada's senior management association. As a non-profit organization, the Institute was established in
1942 and is dedicated to enhancing managerial skills and professional development. Currently, there are 17 branches coast-to-coast with the National Office in Barrie.

Since its inception, the Institute has helped over 55,000 managers to develop a broadly based education in management skills with a rich and diversified series of programs from individual courses to professional designation.
